Fresh Flower Cake..

A two layer vanilla sponge cake, covered in vanilla buttercream - a completely simple base made so much more exquisite having been topped with Moyses Stevens fresh flowers.

I was very kindly sent a bouquet of fresh flowers by Moyses Stevens {} They are a luxury florist, based in London with over 130 years of experience - having been established in 1876.

The flowers came beautifully prepared and were received in pristine condition. I decided to create a two tier cake to incorporate the different tones of colours that were within the bouquet and include an almost gradient of flowers from the large pink to the smaller white and pale pink flowers. The colours also contrasted perfectly with the light buttercream.

My two favourite bouquets they sell have to be the Blush Roses Bouquet {} and the Marylin Monroe Bouquet {}. Both absolutely gorgeous and I love the pale flowers, they are so elegant but so eye catching..
